outfit!
Juliette was not exactly sure how it was that she came to be standing in the lobby of her dorm, watching the doors for Evander to walk up. She had gone over the conversation repeatedly in her head and she really could not find where she'd given any indication that she wanted to change her pajamas, leave her dorm, and then go to what was essentially a strange boy's house. Sure, she knew Evander--but just how well did she know Evander? She'd never been to his house before and the places in which they spent time together were fairly generic--the library, restaurants, and occasionally the hobby shop. She didn't know very much about him, except that he had a cat, loved to draw and research, had a father in politics, hardly sleeps and exists on Red Bull, really liked dessert--
She chewed her lip. She supposed there was actually kind of a lot that she knew about Evander. Still, she hadn't known prior to tonight that he was a drinker and it was this information that was making her so nervous. She didn't know how drunk he actually was, but being that she had never been drunk herself, she wouldn't have known how to differentiate between levels of drunkenness even if she'd wanted to. All she knew about this was that whatever he'd imbibed had made him friendly and talkative, two things that had never come to her mind in regard to Evander. Lily had insisted this was a booty call, so now Juliette had that in her head.
Nonetheless, she had changed her pajamas, not wanting to be in a tank top, just in case. She didn't have enough self-discipline to wear both pants and a sweater in this Florida heat, so she was just wearing the same shorts. Legs weren't boobs, though, so she was less worried about them. She had a large bag with her which had taken much effort to get down and she wasn't sure that she'd be able to carry it all the way to Evander's house, but she'd cross that bridge when she got to it. Inside the bag was everything she could possibly need for the twelve or so hours that she would be away--toiletries, textbooks, three outfits so she would have options, her computer, her purse items, and slippers.
She didn't know how much of this she would actually need, but she was nervous enough without thinking that she might have forgotten something. She was chewing her lip when she saw Evander approach and she nearly bit through it, but she managed to keep her teeth under control. He was far enough away that she could touch up her lip gloss--which she had in her pocket for just this purpose--and when she was finished and glossy and had pressed her lips together to even it out, she tossed her hair over her shoulder and stepped outside.
