As the president of DKE, Anthony was subject to doing a lot of things that he wouldn't have thought to do. It was almost solely his job to think of ways to haze challenge the new pledges, his responsibility to acquire alcohol for their parties, and his responsibility to make sure that they had funding for all of these events. For the most part, Anthony was good at delegating these tasks to other people, but this occasionally took more effort than he really wanted to expend and that was annoying.
Today, however, was an easy task. DKE was planning a themed party to bring in the summer and the new pledges for them and their sister sorority, tri-delta, and it was Anthony's job to run the committee and make sure everything went well. Unfortunately, Anthony didn't know anything about parties, except that he was usually drunk and always took a girl home. He didn't even know the theme because he hadn't bothered to find out, but he figured that the girl he was going to see did and that she would be happy to help.
He walked up the delta delta delta lawn, waving to the younger women as he did, winking and complimenting when necessary. He didn't see the president of tri-delta anywhere, which could have meant that she wasn't in, but which hopefully just meant that she was inside the house, terrorizing her fellow sisters. One of the older members, who had been tanning on the front lawn, let him into the house and after winking out his thanks, Anthony stepped inside.
"Ruby," he called, his smooth voice loud and carrying. "It's me, Anthony. Come out, come out, wherever you are." He leaned against the door frame and folded his arms, watching the staircase for the elusive president to come down.
