Steven knows the value of being quiet. He enjoys sneaking up on people. He is quiet because he knows that most people will talk about everything so long as someone is there to listen. This allows him to gather a lot of black mail on people. He has not had the need to use his blackmail on anyone yet but he likes to have the option if he needs it.
Steven often plays loud music in the morgue. As much as he knows that quiet is a good thing silence freaks him out. He will usually play anything so long as there is more sound in the morgue then the sounds of the fans in the coolers running.
Steven is kind of goofy and quirky. He has never been, nor will he ever be a “goofball” but he does have his share of odd traits. He hates cold and so is often wearing lots of layers of clothes. He refuses to do paperwork anywhere but his office, the morgue, or Bean There, the local coffee shop. He won’t ever be doing paperwork at his house and avoids it every way he can. He always has a candle burning in the morgue and often has one he can light that he carries with him next to his cigarettes and snacks.
Speaking of snacks, Steven loves food and is secretly a fatty at heart. He hides snacks like a squirrel hides nuts, that is to say, everywhere. He keeps granola and candy bars stashed in the drawers in his office, cookies hidden in the morgue, and other assorted things placed strategically all over his apartment and car. He will usually share his stuff as he tends to have so much of it.
Steven is more than a little standoff-ish around new people. He usually likes to find out how new people will affect his environment as well as how they will get along with the people already in it. This causes him to be very protective of those already within his environment. He tries to make sure that anyone who upsets the things of his environment pay for it.
Steven also sometimes just gets grumpy for no apparently reason. This doesn’t happen often but occasionally he just gets short with people. He will spend at least one day every couple of months sullen and broody.

Steven is very smart and learns new things faster than most people.
Steven is very good at soccer and played it all though high school but had to give it up when he went to medical school.
Steven is observant. He can often see things that no one else notices because he looks in places no one else would think to.
Weaknesses:
Steven is a bit of an asshole. He can be unintentionally mean and is often viewed as grating.
Steven has a fear of heights. He avoids roof tops.
Steven is not good at taking criticism. He often feels that he is never wrong and can view those who try to tell him he is in a very hateful way.

Jacob Scott met Amelia Wood in 1980. They were 31 and 29 respectively. Jacob is a lawyer and had just won a case that got him notoriety. Amelia was a Public Relations Specialist for an advertising company based out of Miami FL.
They fell in love and were married In January 1981. They decided to wait a few years to have children so that they could be secure in their marriage before they added a baby to the mix. So, true to their word, the couple found out Amelia was about a month pregnant at the beginning of July. Amelia and Jacob decided that Amelia would be a stay at home mother after her baby was born. The pregnancy was really easy. Amelia was able to sleep most of the night and the only cravings she had were for Banana pudding and Sesame Chicken, never mixed. She wasn’t nauseous at all after the first trimester was over.
Alton Steven Scott was born on February 5, 1984. However, once he was a bit older he was found to be a quiet baby. He got on the day night cycle as quickly as a baby can. He was an easy baby and a good first child to have.
In October they found out that Amelia was pregnant again. This time the pregnancy was fraught with nausea, insane craving, and way to little sleep as the baby (as soon as she was able) would always kick up a storm at night. Her ankles were swollen for quite a the entire third trimester. Amelia was not a happy person while pregnant.
His sister, Maddelyn Hailey Scott, was born on June 24, 1985. She was NOT an easy baby. She came out screaming and took a long time to settle onto the day night cycle. She was fussy, she was noisy, and she took up all of the attention. This was a trend she would continue to follow for the rest of her life.
This left Steven with a lot of time left on his own. He still got as much love and affection as he needed to not be left with any real psychological damage but he didn’t get anywhere near half of his parents attention. Surprisingly, this did not cause him to dislike his sister in the least as she idolized and adored him from very early on.
Both kids were sent to a private school and Steven was a part of the gifted program there. At this school Steven met Alex. Alex is boy who lived about 3 houses down from Scott family, was only a few months younger than Maddy, and a certifiable genius.
When Steven was 10 and Maddy was 9, Alex became a permanent fixture in the Scott household. Steven and Alex often did homework together, while Maddy proceeded to run every single part of Alex’s life outside of schoolwork. To this day she still continues to do so only now they are married and she has a legitimate reason to do so.
Their lives proceeded in this fashion until Steven’s 11th grade year where he went to college full time. He graduated high school with his A.A. degree which allowed him to get a jump start on medical school. This is why he is one of the youngest Medical Examiners in the country. When he got his license he was assigned the Orange Island posting. That is how he came to be here.| A P P E A R A N C E |
Dark hair and blue eyes with a strong jaw make him very attractive. His hair grows fast so that he often is able to change his hair styles and in a few months often goes from very short hair to a longer scruffier look.
He has a partiality for suits but can also be seen wearing long coats when he's feeling dramatic or sweater vests when he's feeling particularly bookish. He liked to be barefoot but has found he sleeps best with socks on and as such has a bunch of special sleeping socks that no one outside of his family knows about.

He lover her to death and feels quite proud that his baby has such a pretentious name and never uses it. His Jackie is perfect and so so so spoiled.
