Boo is a very sweet person. She has a kind heart and will always help her friends and co-workers when she realizes that they need help. She loves to be around people and is absolutely an extrovert. Any introvert traits that Boo might have had were exorcized from her as a small child. She has no problem approaching strangers and new people, which works well for her as a cop.
How does Boo deal with nerves? She gets bouncy. She twitches and likes to move and leads a very active lifestyle. She runs regularly with her dog Misty and swims at least once a week. She enjoys a good game of soccer when she gets the chance to play. She can play just about any position but really doesn’t like playing goalie and prefers to play a forward.
Patience is a virtue that Boo has in spades. A phrase that could be applied to pageantry in general is “Hurry up and wait.” You get to the place where the pageant is being held and rush to get checked in and ready and then you are stuck waiting until it is your turn and then you wait after your turn until the next event then rush to change clothes and make-up and wait for your turn then wait after your turn and then you simply rinse and repeat a few times throughout the day. Due to this pattern, Boo quickly picked up wait to entertain herself without disturbing anyone else.
Boo is very determined, hanging on like a bulldog to things that she decides she is going to grip. However, most people don’t call her determined, they call her stubborn. She is very strong willed and doesn’t brake under mental pressure. The only exception for this is that she finds things to seem very sad when “Aunt Flo” is visiting and is quite weepy during that time as well.
Boo feels things very deeply. She can take the mean things said about her to heart and rarely says anything bad about anyone as she doesn’t ever want anyone to feel hurt like she does. She is also a very good comforter and will often use touch as a way to show that she is trying to help a person, like a hug when they look sad and sitting with someone when they are crying.
A traditional mean girl Boo is not as she doesn’t use words to attack you when she is angry. She prefers to use methods that are much more……Sneaky. Things that look like pranks but are HIGHLY aggravating are her weapon of choice. But don’t worry, it takes a LOT to make her angry.
Talents & Skills:
Singing - Boo is a very debeloped singer due to the near constant training that her mother forced on her during her pageant years.
Dancing - Boo has a natural talent for dancing and thanks to the years of lessons is quite acomplished in many forms of this, most especially ballet.
Soccer - Due to years of playing, Boo has developed a very good ability to play soccer. She isn't quite a natural but she plays with lots of enthusiasm.
Weaknesses:
Temper - Boo doesn't have much of a temper but when she gets angry she gets angry. She can hold a grudge for 3 years or more without blinking an eyelash.
Light weight - Boo doesn't really hold her liquor well. She has only begun drinking in the last year as she held to the drinking age law and turns into a giggling starry eyed mess when she gets drunk.
Doesn't take rejection well - Boo has a hard time dealing with people who she perceives to reject her due to her mother presure for her to always be accepted as winner in pageants.
Likes: Italian food, Small dogs, High heels, Filmy fabrics, Long hair, and Strawberries.
Dislikes: Tap shoes, beauty pageants, Pointe shoes, Mirrors, Califlower, and Sequins.

Connor James Kessler grew up on Orange Island in the house of a prestigious dog breeder. His family was well known for their sight hounds. The family had many greyhounds that they raced as well as quite a few dogs that where shown in competition. The Kessler dogs won most of their shows, even the dogs that Connor himself had trained. Due to this, Connor was one of the most well-known young men in the dog show circuit. He was known for being a wild child and a bit of a player.
It was a surprise to everyone in the community when he settled down. It was an even bigger surprise that the woman who managed to tame him wasn’t from a family with any connections to dog shows or breeding and hadn’t even grown up on Orange Island. The couple had met when Sarah came to Orange Island for a string of beauty pageants. The community was sure that this relationship would not last but despite the beliefs of those in the community Connor and Sarah were quite happy together. They had healthy communication and spent a few good years growing together before Sarah found out that she was pregnant.
On October 24, 1985 James Caleb Kessler was born. He became a big brother when he was 4 years old. Eight years later he would teach his little sister about soccer. He would grow up to be just like his father. From a young age he held a love of dogs and would become part of the showing community at a very young age. One day he would take over the breeding and showing of the dogs.
On April 17, 1990 Sarah Kessler gave birth to Boutina Marie Kessler, who was quickly nicknamed Boo as her father thought her name was too long but let her mother pick the name for the birth certificate.
Boo was a quiet baby and from 3 months old was involved in a different type of show than her brother would ever be. Her mother involved her in child pageants. She won many of the events that her mother entered her in. As she got older she was given all sorts of lessons so that her mother could live out her dreams through her only daughter.
Boo took ballet from age 3 and tap from age 4, with gymnastics and baton twirling lessons added at age 6. At age 7 she was signed up for singing lessons and was constantly at the “girly” lessons that were helping her win beauty pageants.
Now poor Boo was always a tomboy at heart, playing cops and robbers with the neighborhood boys but her mother never really approved of her playing like that. As a small child Boo often ripped holes in her dresses and stockings, ruined her hair and shoes, and somehow ended up covered in sand and mud regularly. Her mother, however, continued dressing her in skirts and dresses until age 7, when she finally relented as Boo continued to dirty her clothes playing rough games usually reserved for boys. Once she was allowed to wear shorts and pants Boo’s clothes were much less destroyed if not just as dirty.
Boo adored her older brother and he loved her very much as well. The two of them got along quite well as there was such a large age difference between them. At age 8, when Boo expressed an interest in soccer he was quite happy to teach her how to play. They spent a whole summer where, in between pageants, Boo fell in love with soccer.
By age 9 Boo was no longer enjoying beauty pageants whatsoever. This was when she started throwing huge tantrums at the pageants, thus shamming her mother. To get Boo to behave at pageants, Sarah bribed her with the offer of being allowed to join a local kid’s soccer team for good behavior at pageants. Boo was happy with this development because that meant less time at the “girly” lessons.
Boo was very good at winning pageants and by age 10 was winning at least every other pageant she was a part of. However, at age 14, Boo was sure she no longer wanted to do pageants. Her mother scrambled for a way to make her daughter continue pageantry and once again used soccer to her advantage. She promised that Boo could join the high school soccer team and learn to shoot a gun with her father if she continued to compete. Even though Boo wanted nothing to do with pageants anymore the draw of soccer and being able to try and weild a gun was something she wanted very much to do and she continued to compete in pageants.
After graduating from high school, Boo really wanted to do something that included physical activity, allowed her to continue shooting, and was not for any delicate flower. She knew straight out that she didn’t want to be in the military and she didn’t know enough about guns in general to teach a shooting class nor was she good enough to compete in shooting events for a career. So after a lot of deliberation Boo decided to join the Police academy and graduated to become a beat cop.| E X T R A S |
