Erm, that's a good question. Last Christmas sounds about right, but I've seen my sister since then. She came down a few months ago to visit a friend in the hospital and stopped by FL on the way out.

call from Coralie Diamond • • • • • • • • • • • • •"That makes no sense, but to each his own, I suppose. So, darling, I must know what your plans are next weekend."

Um, that depends. I have quite a bit to get through but I'm sure there's a reason for the inquiry, after all?

call from Coralie Diamond • • • • • • • • • • • • •"Well, darling, as you know, I work for Cherie and next weekend is their bringing-in-the-fall party. I know it's a little early, but it was the only Saturday that the company could book Jazz It Up before Labor Day."

call from Coralie Diamond • • • • • • • • • • • • •"Don't be silly, it's a jazz club, not a fashion show. That's after Labor Day. Honestly."

[chuckles]Oh, excuse me, I'm terribly sorry. But, we can't all be geniuses, keeping track of these things the way you do. I'm sure I could find some available time though, which day was it again?

Oh... [pause] goodness, my apologies! Would you like to be my princess for the evening, Miss Coralie? I would be flattered to have you on my arm.

call from Coralie Diamond • • • • • • • • • • • • •"Oh, darling, it's so kind of you to ask! I would be honored to accompany you to my mandatory work party. I know that it's absolutely a crime to wear black before Labor Day, but the venue does seem to call for it, don't you think?"

That is a bit of a risky move, [teasing] but I'm sure you could certainly pull it off. What tie do you suggest I wear then, so as to not contrast too sharply?

call from Coralie Diamond • • • • • • • • • • • • •"Thomas, you have read my mind and it is absolutely amazing. I was just about to tell you that the roses on my dress are a carnation pink, so I was thinking a paler shade for your tie?"

Perfect, then I'd assume a nice cherry blossom shade would do?

[another soft chuckle]My sister often says it's not quite a good thing to know as much as I do. Says it gives off the wrong idea.
